Youth Ranger Programme
Welcome to the Youth Ranger Programme.
The Youth Ranger Award enables you to experience, enjoy and understand the processes of rangering and conservation at a local, national and international level.
The aims of This Short Course award are:
• To promote understanding of a role and work of the rangers
• To provide opportunities for students to gain practical experience in conservation and recreation management
• To make new friends and gain an accredited qualification
You will spend your time learning new skills, including:
• Practical conservation
• Survival skills
• Interpreting and studying the landscape
• Ecological surveys
You will also use multi–media and ICT and make regular updates to the youth ranger website.
